“All About Sports” Wants to Give Away A Jersey

The All-Star game was one of the best ever, and Brett Favre will never let go. Josh Hamilton’s derby performance was a smash, but his All-Star game performance did not follow suit. Arizona’s two biggest summer sports won two championships this decade, but now they are going belly up.

All that and more are discussed in this week’s edition of “All About Sports,” including how you can get your hands on an official Tom Brady NFL jersey. Here’s a portion of the starting lineup:

Hot off the Press:

1) Yankees outfielder, Hideki Matsui, has been out of the lineup with a knee injury since June 22 and off the field since the 15th of June. Options to rehabilitate are running bleak, and season ending surgery could be in order. Why is this story big? Because Barry Bonds is among the players that the Yankees may be interested in if Matsui is out. How likely is his return?

2) Favre vs. the Pack. Things getting heated up. Should we care? (Pack releases timeline of events and communication with Favre since end of season, fans set up website to rally the troops of WI to keep Brett, etc)

3) Mickelson spites Tiger when asked about his absence at the British Open. Disrespect or “focus” as he would put it? Who wins the Open? (Mickelson or the field)

Hat Trick:

1) After a tough 2-5 start, the Mercury (defending WNBA Champs) crawled back above.500 and are now 9-11. They are currently one game out of the playoffs Can they make a surge and secure a spot to defend the title?

2) D-backs are best in the west after losing there final series to the Phillies going into the all-star game. Unfortunately, the west is worst than the rest. What do the d-backs need to get their “mojo” back? Who is their biggest threat in the NL?

3) Arizona State finds themselves ranked #16 in a Rivals.com pole, while Arizona is #62. Are these fair rankings?

  1. The DBacks need to go out on the town, have a good night together with some ladies (good clean fun of course) and play some more XBOX in the clubhouse. Everyone knows they’re the better team, they just have puckered holes right now that won’t allow them to take care of business. Chewy, you need to get into that clubhouse and make some noise…
